accuracy with barnes bullets?
« on: February 28, 2005, 06:54:21 AM »
I've got about 200 25cal XBT's on hand. What kind of accuracy should I expect from these in a 25-06 Ruger 77? I have what's left of 500 22 ZIPEDO bullets that I can't get sub MOA from in my 22-250. I have 30 ,25-06 rounds loaded and waiting for the snow to stop for range tests.

I have used the 50 grain XLC bullets from Barnes. I am shooting them in 22-250. I got about 1 inch groups at 100 yards. The only problem is that they cost about $14 a hundred. For that price I could probablyt buy 400 remington bullets from MidwayUsa.com. Here is a website that always talks about Barnes bullets, the author swears by them. He is probably getting paid though.
