Accuracy trick

I read something somewhere about using aluminum tape to keep the hinge pin from spinning.  Just wondered if anyone has tried this and if it helped with accuracy.

I don't think it's so much for keeping the pin from spinning, but to keep it from sliding side to side.  Especially if you have allot of play in your forearm slot, the pin could actually slip out of one side of the frame.  Myself, I use an oversize hinge pin that I have to tap in place, so I don't think it would do much good for me.

Are you shooting without a forend?  None of mine have enough room to allow a pin to slip out of place.
