I was wondering just how well this hollow point bullet works in the 270 Win...do they expand and retain their weight well...they certainly are cheap enough...

Thanks

I have absolutely no experience with this bullet your talking about. But many year's ago I did some bullet testing into wet newspaper and one of the bullet's I tested was a 165 gr 30 cal hollow point. What I found was that in 10 shot's, not one bullet opened. What happened was the hollow point closed up and bent. The cavity was fairly deep and the opening was very small, more like I would envision a match bullet.

Because of that, I,ve stayed away from them ever since except in varmit bullet's and then with a large opening. With the plastic tip bullet's of today, I can't imagine a use for a hollow point bullet.
