Well talking about things that maybe illegal is taboo here and we do not want to get GB into trouble but this was brought up a a locked post so I will continue this interesting topic here:
Sheila brought up a interesting point of Cats and Bobcats interbreeding. I found this doing a web search on the subject. When available bobcats will also kill livestock, poultry, small pigs, lambs and sheep, as well as feral and domestic cats. Although bobcats will kill housecats, there are records of the two species hybriding
Any one else ever hear of this?
I know when I was a kid we could hear cats screaming at night and the DNR said they were bobcats but most of us figured they may have been Lynx or at least one Lynx traveling through. Living in Northern WI that would not be that much of a stretch as we are not all that far from Canada. I know one thing the house cats in the area took a beating and started disapearing until we did not hear that cat anymore. This went on for a couple of weeks. Jim
