I have heard good and bad about them. They seem like a nice outfit to me and I like the caliber. Kits can be a pain sometimes if it was me I would buy one put together and make sure it has a new barrel. Jim
Said I never had much use for one, never said I didn't know how to use it.

I have the CETME, and have found it an excellent shooter, great value for the money.  For a hundred or so bucks more, the HK G3 is a good gun, but functionally little different from the original CETME.
Using a scope and good ammo, mine gets 1.5 MOA on the average, 1.0 MOA on a good day.
With no gas system, these rifles are cleaner running and more forgiving of ammo variations than gas-operated guns.  Recoil seems lighter too.
Unfortunately, Century has come to the end of their kits, and the CETME rifles will become scarcer.  Get one before the price skyrockets!

I have a Century Cetme it was purchased a few years ago.  It shoots very accurately but it did loc open after about 40rds.  But they do say it shoots better after 200rds has been thru it to break it in.  I shot it after I changed the recoil spring and it shoots fine now. But i may tweek it a little more.  The gun does shoot smooth but i don't like the funky charge handle.  I did go with the French 49/56 in 308nato and the Saiga in 308 so i had more 308's to shoot besides the Cetme.               BigBill
