Do springer airguns respond well to bipod usage?

I've been reading here a lot about the proper way to hold springer airguns to obtain the best accuracy, and it really surprised me that such small variations can affect accuracy that much!  That is why I'm asking if anyone here uses a bipod on their springer?  I have an RWS 93 that I'm going to install sling swivels on, and was thinking of adding a Harris bipod to make it easier to shoot than carrying around sandbags.  Does anyone know if this could significantly alter my rifle's accuracy?  Thanks.

i know that using my powerline 1000 using a rest is alot more accurate so a bipod would be nice as long as it fits into the types of areas u hunt id rather make shootng sticks lighter to carry and can use in different situations. bipods sometimes suck when u got tall grass or brush .

I have also found that bipods get in the way of barrel and under-lever cockers.  You don't want to clamp onto the barrel at all so stay away from barrel clamp bipods.  I use shooting sticks when hunting.  Make them myself out of uncut arrow shafts(2512).  Light, easy to carry and easily adjustable for different shooting angles.  Lawdog

I would have to disagree, at least for me.  Regardless of how I grip, as long as it's consistent, I seem to get very tight groups.  However, when I change me grip, my point of impact changes as much as a couple of inches (although the groups remain tight).  By the way, this is using a spring/piston.

It doesn't seem to be as much the case with my old sheridan silver streak.

You couldn't be more wrong.  Springer rifles react to changes in grip pressure, how they are held to the shoulder, etc. very differently than other type air rifles.  PCP, pumps and C02's are much more forgiving in how they are held.  Learn to hold a springer correctly and your shooting of other rifles will improve too.  Lawdog

I don't think it will work well, but I could be wrong. Learning to hold a springer for best accuracy was a real eye opener for me. They're really touchy about consistency of hold. I also learned that if I rested the gun on a sandbag the accuracy was terrible. When I held it as I do freehand, with the foreend just resting in my palm with no squeeze, then my group sizes got very small indeed.
