Why can't we load bullets wrapped with sabots in a .50ML?They look the same to me and are roughly half the price.Finding a plastic sabot and snug bullet doesn't seem hard to me.

I am not really understanding your question.... but I can tell you - you can wrap bullets in a sabot and shoot them very well from your fifty. The key is to find the right sabot because not all sabots are the same as not all fifty barrels are the same size. It is really an experimental thing.

Getting the sabots is one problem, but I don't see why it would not work. Precision Rifle as basically done it.

I do it all the time. I buy Harvester sabots from Midsouth or any other location or your local shop and pick out the .45cal bullet I like and put the two together and shoot. You might have to select bullets on diameter as some .45 bullets measure .452 and some .451. My Omega likes the .451 diameter bullets for easier loading.

I too don't quite understand, but if you are referring to normal rifle bullets the question is stabilization. Regular rifle bullets are, for the most part, shot out of faster twists (1-8" to 1-14"). A 1-28" ML barrel will not stabilize them and they'll tumble after exiting the barrel.
I got ahold of some .50-.308 sabots once and used the shorted .308 spitzer I could find...keyholed at 20 yards.
I do know a few people fitting fast-twist .45 barrels (1-14") to the Savage smokeless ML. I'm waiting to hear on the results as I've wanted to try that on a regular ML.

My Omega shoots 45 cal pistol bullets around 300gr. just great. I think the main thing is to try to stay with a near bore bullet and most pistol bullets will stabilize out of a 1 in 28 or probably a 1 in 48 barrel.
