.375 winchester load for 200 and 220 gr fn
« on: January 22, 2003, 11:58:14 PM »
I just picked up a pre-crossbolt .375 BB along with a box of 200 gr speer fn and 220 gr hornady fn.

Anyone have any goos loads using 3031 or 4064 (whichI have) or should I just buy some Rel 7?

  I think I'd opt for the Reloader 7.  Been teaching a friend of mine who has a 375 Win 94(with a scout scope setup on it) to reload. We worked up to a max of 38.0 grs with the Hornady 220 gr FP and it seems to approximate the factory loading.  He didn't have to change his sight settings at all once we were there.  Groups were around 1 3/4" at 100 yds.  Killed a buck down in a N. Carolina soybean field at 235 yds with one shot, so it seems to be a fine load.

exflatlanderNH-

Just a quick note to mention that AA-1680 has been used in the latest Hornady and Accurate Arms reloading manuals and appears to beat out RL-7 with higher velocities and lower pressures.

Just thought you might like to check it out. :D
