Marbles Game Getter
« on: March 23, 2005, 01:36:44 PM »
Received my Gamegetter in the mail last week already.  It has 15" barrels and the 410 barrel has been bored out to 2 1/2 inches for modern shells.  It performed very well at the range; better than me.  I think I had some trouble being consistant with the aperture sight.  410 slugs were touching at 25 yards about 2" higher than the group for the 22 barrel.  I shot the open sites for the slugs, perhaps that was why it shot better for me.  I hope to take it out in the next few days for a hunt.  It should take out ptarmigan and rabbits pretty well.

Bin quiet here on the combo gun front.  Just breakin' the silence.

My grandpa used one to run traps in the 1920's. The smooth barrel fires a round that looks like 44/40 I recall. Let us know how it goes
