scope mount for mausers?
« on: February 11, 2003, 05:55:43 AM »
I was looking for a scope mount for a mauser m48 yugo and I found one by iron-elite, a cantalever that mounts where the rear sights sit so no drilling and tapping. does anyone have one of these? or do you know of something better?

thanks badgerben

badgerben,

Good Luck, and hope it works well.  Wish I had one for my M38 Swedish Mauser!  Let us know how it works....Share the wealth.
savageT........Have you hugged a '99 lately?

Mauser Scope Mounts

Hay Savage T:  I think I saw a 'scout mount' like the one badgerben mentioned that would fit any of the Mauser bolts without drilling and tapping the receiver.  I know that you can make up a scout mount yourself from a weaver rail that would fit inside the rear sight base and apparently this has held up well for one of the other fellas who used it.

Don't know if this is whatcha had in mind but we can certainly talk about it when we get together.  Hope that wedding went alright, as well as the drive down and back.  Hi to Peggy.  Mikey.
