Fish finder recommendations

It's just about time to get the Bass Boat out, this years upgrade will be a new LCR. I will keep the original Hummin' bird (1996 model) on the front deck & replace the console mounted unit.
Looking for some suggestions on what to get for a new one, I've been looking at this one,
http://www.lowrance.com/Marine/Products/X125.asp
but I am open to suggestions. I would like to keep it under $400.00.
No need for color or one with gps. I pretty much fish smaller lakes, around 300 acres.
Thanks,
Ed

I don't think you can go wrong with Lawrence. My in dash unit petered out a couple of years ago, and I took it in to get repairs. The lady at the repair counter told me the unit was obsolete, and gave me a good deal on a new X48, which hooked up to the old wiring and fit the hole.
Hey, hold my beer and watch this.
