I resemble that remark.  :)  Actually at this time walking 25 yards if uphill at all really wears me down. I'll be all out of breathe and have to stop to huff and puff. Headed to the lung doctor this afternoon to see if he can figure out why and what if anything can be done about it.

Hey I guess I'll have to sell all my stuff. I didn't know we had to pass a physical to be a gun-nut. It must really bother you when you see all those guys in wheelchairs out hunting and shooting at the Grand American trap shoot. I sincerly hope you never have to face the situation where every step you take hurts, It's no fun and I wouldn't wish it on anyone. Be well.

Brown-trout- don't you know that it is not safe to run with a loaded gun.?

Do you realize how much time and expense goes into creating a flabby physick?  Well let me tell you junk food and beer ain't cheap.  Then there are all those hard hours spent sitting in the lazy-chair watching the boob-tube, wearing a bald spot on the back of your head with the head rest, or sitting in the high backed leather office chair surfing the net till your vision gets blurry.  So the next time you see a fat man buy me... ah, him a round cause it took a lot of time and dedication to get that way.

When there's any running to do I just hire some young dumb kid to do it.  I don't have to do that any more.

Well thats the whole idea of guns anyway ..shoot it so you don't have to run after it..OR shoot it so you don't have to run from it..
I have yet been able to shoot a 3 shot sub 1" group at 100 yards ...........on any deer!!!!!!

bt,
What's running got to do with anything at a gun show?  I don't understand your comment.

I ran one time, honest to God, but when I got to where I was running too I couldn't remember why I was in such a hurry. :-)

We are continuing to pray for you and hope the Dr's can come to some conclusions to give you some relief.

Ban Golden Corral!!! The whole country is supersized!
My monthly contribution to my family's medical benefits has risen from
$0 to $500 since I've retired and moved into a second career.
The reason given by my provider and Drs. that I train at my gym, is
weight related diseases / disability, that largely can be controlled by
taking care of oneself. Am I pissed that I may be paying for the excesses of others? I think more sad, that I could be saving more at 58 for my little
girls college.  God willing I will hunt on my terms for quite some time.
Just walked in from a 5 mile power walk with my bird dog, We're ready!!

If this sounds like bragging--well it is.  I'll be 62 this summer and I weigh less now than I did when I was 18.  Since I retired I've managed to stay in shape by riding my bicycle, canoeing, kayaking and when I have time, I take some nice long walks.

I don't run much any more, because it is kind of hard on the joints, but if I had to, I think I could still rip off a mile or two.

I've just about given up on gunshows, but if I'd known that was what caused one to get out of shape, I would have quit even sooner.

BT;

My Marine grandson is sniper qualified.

Last time I visited him at Camp LeJeune, I saw a T-shirt with a picture of a Marine sniper with the following caption underneath:

" No sense running; you'll only die tired!"

Guess that can go for deer, bear, woodchucks etc.....LOL

BTW...I'm 68 yrs old and can still run/walk some distance....don't generalize so much !

...And I bet I can probably hand-forge considerably more steel in a day than you can...LOL
If you don't want the truth, don't ask me.  If you want something sugar coated...go eat a donut !  (anon)
