Walmart Combo .243/20
« on: March 11, 2005, 10:37:22 PM »
Hey, check out the link to the Walmart gun order page. Does anyone know if this combo is on a standard SB2 frame?

http://www.walmart.com/catalog/product.gsp?product_id=3138473&cat=1701 19&type=1&dept=4125&path=0%3A4125%3A4155%3A170080%3A170083%3A170119

This is the link for the page from the custom order form at the Walmart website. This combo is not listed in the 2005 catalog. Look at the price. That's a hell of a deal if its on the SB-2 frame.

I posted this to the Handi forum, too.  Hope that's OK!

Yes cookieman, thats a SB2 frame, the best way to go if your planning to get both, then you have the flexibility to get other rifle barrels as well as shotgun barrels for the reciever. Which I am sure you know, and probably just what you had in mind!!! :-D ....<><....

That's exactly what I have in mind.  That is a good price for that set up.  SportSouth doesn't have any in stock but Precision Firearms shows that they do.  It will be more work through them but the price may be better too.  Have to check it out.  I already have put in quote requests to them.

Thanks. :-)

I just talked to a person at Sportsman Whse. in Coon Rapids, MN who told me the combo won't go to production 'till June sometime.  He also gave me a line about the price being directly related to the price of steel going up.  HUH???  He could sell vynl siding.  You know, price depends on the price of OIL??   Anyway,  looks like a long wait..
