Got the Wild West trigger for my 1895 CB and of coarse it did not come with instructions. I know I can do the install, but the only info I have on the firearm is the factor parts list. I'm a bit reluctant to go removing sideplate screw without knowing just how screwed I might get. Don't want to go launching springs around the house. Anyone able to explain the procedure?

I did this modification to my 1895. Makes quite a difference.
Would recomend it anyone, good info.

Well I got it done. It was easier than I expected. I have removed the lever and bolt in the past for cleaning. Just needed to go a step beyond. This was a great addtion. Went from 6-1/2 lb floppy pull to 2-1/4 lb crisp. Can't wait to shoot it.

Does that trigger completely eliminate the floppy effect that the Marlin stockers have?

It did on mine and I assume it does on all. Other than being a bit pricey. It is a worthwhile modification. I don't know what it would cost to have a gunsmith do something similar with the original trigger. I recommend it.

Thanks, PeterB. Good to know that a drop in fix is available and even better to know that it's easy enough for a do-it-yourselfer to attempt.
