Sorry, but I believe that you are the one who doesn't "get it".
These games you want to play, and the lives that you want to throw away playing them only makes our forces look foolish in the enemy's eyes. They see Americans as soft and weak, and doubly so when women are used to fight. This enemy will not run from a fight with soft, weak, fools.
They do not fear our forces, and they do not fear the wrath of our nation, precisely because some brilliant tactician dreams up assinine stunts and incorrectly imagines that it will damage the enemy's morale. These geniuses want our servicemen to prance around acting like a bunch of school-yard bullies when what they should be doing is killing the enemy on-sight, non-stop.
The enemy is successfully using our own media and laws as weapons against our forces. The fact that they can makes our war effort seem just that much more idiotic. They are laughing at the way we play at war.
And your bright idea is to send a girl, backed by a combat battalion, to tug on Saddam's beard and put it on TV. Right. That'll shake 'em up.
