30-30 AI fire forming loads for 150gr cast gas check

Does anyone have any loads they would share with me?  I have 400 Lyman Lead Gas Checked bullets that I would like to use to fire form some new 30-30 AI brass.  I have never done this before.  I would like to burn as little powder as possible.  If I can have my cake and eat it too.  I wouldn't mind having a load I could plink with while fire forming.

If less is better try speer 100Gr plinkers with 10.0 Unique

  With the 150 cast you can get good results with 17.0/4759 --very accurate load out of my 14' 30/30.

8.0 grains of unique to start.  See if it will blow out the shoulder.  Work up a grain at a time until the shoulder blows out.   On my 30 Bower Alaskan, I had to go up to 12 grains to blow out the 307 brass, but it has greater capacity and is thicker.

I will try the unique powder. Sounds good.  What kind of velocity can I expect out of a 15" barrel?

looked back in my notes and 11.5 unique/150 cast (gas checked) gave me 1550 . Not a wimpy load though though but good accuracy out to 200 yards shooting at rams with it. This was the "old " unique work up to this load. Old --unique supposed to burn a little slower.
