Sounds like they want to use this incident to revive every potential gun control bill ever conceived. Not a single word about the kid being a part of a "hate" group, I noticed, which was also similar to Columbine, a reference they threw in. But I suppose that would have infringed on his rights, wouldn't it?

If only that guard had been armed...

Just once, I wish one of these wackos would use a gallon of gas or a steak knife and kill a dozen people with that, so the gun stops getting all the blame for the actions of a psychotic killer.  Conyers and his ilk are determined to "do something", simply to appear concerned about school violence.  How about getting rid of the "Gun Free Zones" around schools?  How about arming school security?  If there is one thing I'll never understand, it's why we try to legislate against evil.  Psychos and criminals don't care what stupid laws say, and never have!

But then I remember that it's not what a bill does that matters, it what it APPEARS to do, so the moron who wrote it or sponsored it can get re-elected, which is really all that matters, isn't it?  Another reason to support term limits!  How about one term, then you have to go back to paying your own way, your own insurance, your own expenses, like the rest of us?  Nah, they'll never let that happen, that would make them Commoners!

papajohn428:  I'm sorry old friend, but it won't matter one whit what a murderer intends to use or uses to stack up his victims, the liberals will always call for gun control because they don't know any better.  I mean, he can hack his victims like Kung Pow chicken, as in the Simpson case, or he can detonate large amounts of explosives as in the Federal Building destruction in Oklahoma, and idiots like dan blather and other liberals will call for gun control, which is exactly what blather did after those two tragedies.

Let's please remember that these people (libs and dumbos) don't give a rats butt about guns or knives or anything else, they just want to control people and nothing else.

Just about the only thing we can do to combat bills like this is to contact our (ugly word here) politicians (and use the threat of your vote) or those who regularly take up the fight against all of these bills (the GOA, NRA, etc).

And AZ223 - yes, you are correct - to identify whether this bonehead belonged to a hate group or not would most likely infringe on his constitutional rights and we certainly have no authority or right to do that even though he butchered a half dozen people and laughed his way through it.  Heck no, we would probably have an easier time forming a lynch mob or a Vigilance Committee, drag him out of jail and hang his sorry butt from the nearest lampost.  But, if ya do that just make certain you have pictures of him swingin' in the breeze, with his long black trenchcoat on, and some sort of a sign nailed to his forehead explaining why he met justice early, as a warning to others.

Just a thought.  Mikey.
