G2 vs encore Light weight

How much weight saving could be expected using the G2 frame over my encore frame.

I guess the barrels of equal contour would weigh about the same????

Considering a 45 caliber conterder to go with my 45 Encore BB.

I have the G2 45 and it is significantly lighter.  The frame is one pound lighter and the barrel is no where near as heavy as the encore.  I believe my G2 weighs about 6.5 pounds with a 2-7 nikon scope included.

pigboy,

At 6.5 lbs. that scoped G-2 ought to be a joy to carry!  How does the G-2 shoot?  What loads are you shooting with it?

Thanks,
X

I shoot 100 grns 777 and powerbelt 190 or 195 grn bullets, I do not remember which weight bullet it is but I bought a whole bunch of them from Wal Mart after the season for $2 a pack of 12.  It shoots great after I installed an oversize pin and had the QLA removed.  Prior to the modifications it did not shoot worth a darn.  After the modifications I can shoot all day at a 100 yard target and it just makes one big hole.

Thanks for the info pigboy.  It sounds like you've got yourself a real shooter there!
