I have a Turbo Specialties-based .22 LR standard rifle that I'm looking to sell. Here's a
thread on these actions from a benchrest board.
This gun has the Turbo action, a favorite due to its incredibly fast locktime (faster than an Anschutz), and barrel. Both barrel and action are stainless. It also has a McMillan synthetic stock and a Jewell benchrest trigger that's set to around 25 oz... any lighter and it's just too hard to control offhand. The gun shoots Federal UM1 under 1" at 100 yards on a calm day, and it will shoot 5 shots under .400" at 50 yards. I currently have a Leupold Vari-X III 6.5x20 EFR scope with 1/8 MOA dot reticle on it, but I'll keep the scope for one of my varmint rifles. The rifle comes with Leupold Weaver-style bases, and with the Leupold rings and bases, the scope, and ready to shoot it weighs right at 10 lbs... just under the legal limit.
I built this gun up when I had my shop and range, and at wholesale prices with McMillan and Turbo and Brownell's I ended up spending around $1500 to make the rifle up. Why am I selling it? I haven't shot silhouette for several years, it's sitting in my gun safe... either I convert it to a .17 HMR or Mach II (which means taking off a several-hundred-dollar barrel with less than 1000 rounds through it that shoots incredibly well), or I sell it to someone who's looking for a super-accurate .22 LR for silhouette or plinking.
