Shooting today
« on: March 28, 2005, 09:18:00 AM »
Got to go shooting today. found out the .308 likes 168 gr and 150 gr loads. The 150 is what I want to use for deer hunting so that is good news.

I also shot the .223 and of course the 45gr white box shot the best group of the day with 3 cloverleafed at 50. The 55gr Winchester wasn't bad and I will give it a try when I have more time to devote to load developement.

I also shot the 8mm and once I got an aiming point it did ok for a 60 year old rifle. Played with the 44 a bit and Met papajohn we had fun playing bounce the stick with pistols.  Look forward to more range time in the coming months. Took some 3x5 cards but didn't shoot any too many people at the range. I will try to get a couple shot and send in for the postal match.

Hope others had as good of a day gotta work tonight so time for bed.

150's were bulk winchester and The 168's looked like the old sierra's but were moly coated by tacshooter before he sent them to me so am not sure.
