Ricky---unscrew the cover on the outside of the rheostat control---battery is inside. They last seemingly forever ----as long as you remember to turn it off after you kill that deer!!!! Don't ask me how I know. Gene

Is it normal for the light to go off while it is on the on position then move the switch a little and it comes back on for a while?

Ricky----had another thought---that battery is old---corrosion or dying battery or bad switch ---can't think of any other causes. Gene
