Found an older Model 77 30.06 today in a Pawn Shop.  This shop has a lot of Long Guns including several Handi Rifles.

The Ruger looks good with no abuse signs.  Trigger is sweet at about 3# give or take a few ounces and the Bolt is smooth as glass.  Scope rings are with it.

$300.00 out the door, I think I'll buy it.  Is $300 about right?

$300 bones for most any commercial bolt action in good shape is a good deal these days.

The new Rugers around here are starting to push $500.

I would look at the bore closely.....remove the barreled action and look at the stock for cracks etc.....or if the guns bedded, that would be a plus......If the bore, + the fit + the finish is good, $300 would be a pretty good price.....

The $300.00 is about right for what you described.  Assuming itÂ’s a tang safety model it would be more if it was a Centennial(Made In The 200th. Year of American Liberty stamped on the left side of the barrel) model.  Lawdog
