Barometric Pressure fish biting what is the story on this subect. First, I have been retired for a couple of years and know very little about fishing. I just wanted to know when to buy minnow and go fishing. Been going to a lake and some times fish bites and others they don't. Thanks

I never followed barometric pressure as a gauge when to go fishing. I just go fishing when I get the time.  Small minnows are great this time of year to fish for crapies. Fish around cover along shore. Usually the best time is evening just before dark.

I read an article a while back about fishing at certain times in the barometric cycles up and down, about solunar tables, moon rise and set, tides, ect. to help fisherman catch fish.  The article ended with this.  "The best time to go fishing is when you get a chance to".  Another theroy I heard was that on the way to your favorite fishing hole look at a heard of cows.  If they are all standing up eating, you will catch fish.  If they are all laying down, you won't catch fish.  Beleive what you want to beleive and then go fishing. ;D
