New Kids and hunting
« on: January 29, 2003, 05:43:58 AM »
Well, I am getting ready for another youth hunt this weekend. This time we are taking 10 brand new first time young hunters from southeast Texas out to the hill country on a new adventure. We will be hunting a ranch near Leakey, Texas and will be pursuig exotic does and feral hogs. Manu of these youngsters have never even shot a gun before so it should be a good weekend.

Sounds great, wish I was going with ya'   I am having a hard time getting my youth hunt put together.  If I can't get alittle more out of these guys then I will jsut drop the idea.   Have fun and post some pics when you get back.  By the way, the Leakey area is the best Texas has to offer in my humble opinion.

Mark,

Don't give up on trying to host a youth hunt. If yours doesn't pan out let me know because I can always use knowledgable volunteers to help us out.

I will give em one more try this Sunday, and if no one has put forth any effort to determine which kids and how many, I might just try to hook up with you and help on some of your youth hunts.  Maybe I can have my daughter tag along.

Both of you will be more than welcomed to come along. My 14 yr old daughter and 17 yer old son are my usual hunting companions. How old is your daughter?
