New Kit AK74s Completed

As some of you know i like to build mil surplus rifles out of kits...
The latest is a Bulgarian AKS 74  5.45 cal. sidefolder.. Built on the new Global 1mm reciever and Tapco's US required compliant parts..

This is the kit out of the box from Military Gun Supply, was almost a new
rifle before it was demilled..

here it is about 2 hours in to the build.. note im using rivets instead of screws to attach the trunions...

here it is 90% done.. ready to test fire...

still need to do the finishing on the reciever..total time 5 to this step
5 hours...total cost as of now $445.00
these sidefolders do command a premium price from the distributers..

Thanks Mike.. well this makes just 4 AK builds that i have made..
not counting some others.. to me its a hobby in its self .. to go out in the
garage and tinker with a kit.. The greatest satsifaction is when you are done to go actually shoot the gun you have made.. sure there are more challanging ways to build like making your own reciever from scratch but
thats alot of work ..and i dont want to get into the legalities of a home built reciever...
For some one who loves guns try building if you have some tools and a place to work.. AK's are the easiest to build mainly because several companies offer 100% ready made recievers. and AK parts kits are cheap
and when you are done you will have something many others dont have
