Did you notice that what JF was actually doing was shilling her new book? That's what this was all about.

BINGO!!  You hit the nail right on the head.

She's attempting to suck up to the portion of the American public which hates her guts for her actions during Nam' so that she can sell a few more copies of her book.

I could care less what Hanoi Jane thinks or does for that matter and I wouldn't buy her book to wipe my rear end if all the stores ran out of toilet paper tomorrow.

Brett,

You and ajj are right - Its all about selling books not about wanting forgiveness!

But I don't think she really has any chance of selling books to her treason accusers!  I Believe she wants the backlash and controversy as it leads to free publicity.  AND that publicity will sell more books for her.

This works - Just Look at the news media.  Bunch of news about her "apology" but nothing much of her new book.   To me says a lot about her focus and motives now and then!

all I know is in earlier wars she would have been put in front of a wall and shot!!...at the time she was making her mistakes I was over there...then when I got back I was stationed at Ft Hood Texas at the time that traitor tried to get on the post...my only regret is I wasnt right on the spot when the MP's bounced her butt out the gate!....do I dislike her?.....yes I do.... because of her and Kerry more guys died...right or wrong being over there, the way to protest isnt to go to the other guy and make propoganda films for the enemy...she was a traitor just like Kerry and if her family handnt had money the story would have been different for both...anyway I am getting off the soap box now..those are just the thoughts of an old vet...WW1

Of course she and kerry cost unnecessary American lives. They, and their ilk, gave aid and comfort to our enemy. They gave him hope, and thereby lengthened the war costing unnecessary American deaths and people handicapped for life. I read where a former vc colonel stated that many times they were ready to give up the fight, but she and kerry gave them the strength and courage to fight on. Other high ranking vc officers have said the same thing. She's hawking her book, nothing more, she has no remorse. POWDERMAN.  :x  :x  :x  :x  :x  :x

Wiz;
  That Harry guy you mentioned was called "Lord Haw-Haw" by the British troops..
  My old memory may be tricking me...but wasn't there a name like "Lord Beaverbrook"...somehow associated with those activities ?
