2005 Turkey shot Yesterday

It sure feels nice to be out and about again after 9 months being in bed. Now after this I now my Old ticker can take almost anything.
Anyhow I made a great day of it and was out in the blind till 2 pm when he came out of the woods looking for love from my dekes. Anyhow he was at 10 yards from me when I let an arrow tipped with a 125 grain snuffer go from my Bear Kodiak smack him in the heart he done backwards flip ran 5 yards from where I shot him dropped over.

Congrats man.  That's a beauty.

I am trying my hand at turkey hunting with a bow for the first time this year.  Season opens on Monday.  I'm using a pop-up and dekes.  Can't wait.  

Any words of wisdom?

Awesome.

A lil more than two weeks here before opener. I'm praying I can bag my first spring gobbler this year. This will be my third year hunting turkeys...startin to get a lil old with no luck  :) . Cross yer fingers.

Nice bird once again. I'm sure he'll taste pretty good come Thanksgiving  :-D   :D
