Recieved to day my first CMP Garand!..
Fresh out of the box.. Springfield Armory dated 1955.. Greek rack grade
Stock is on small dings ,no cracks,no splits,dark wood, not matching
handguards but close...
Throat errosion is 3.1 checked with a Mil spec gauge.. All SA marked
but has a national match marked op rod.. Dark park on the metal
id say 85%..
I think it will be a good shooter.. This weekend to strip it and give it a good cleaning.. and start degreasing the wood..it looks like it will clean
