Went to the Interior Advissory Commitee meeting wednesday night. The commitee said that if you want to see the Dalton opened for access then you need to write a letter to the editor so stating in both the Fairbanks and Anchorage papers. That the Govenor sees those and reacts to the general responses. So far there has been nothing but negative responses in the papers. Also there are safeguards in place to prevent the types of things the negative folks are predicting. Also there are existing trails there already for use. The trails were put in by miners, and access the areas around the highway, and some go for long ways to villages well away from the highway. There is no reason that this entire area should be locked up soley from hunting. Miners and explorers have access why should not hunters?
