I originally painted my sons 22 sportster with brownells aluma-hyde in flat black then last year painted over that with camo paints from home depot, the aluma-hyde looked great and stuck like glue with a light sanding and degreasing of the metal, I taped over the trigger guard and hammer so they're still blued but after the cheap camo paint I realized I should have used a matte clear over them , they rub off pretty easily.
