Remington 1911 Pistol

Hi guys!

This is my first post in this 1911 forum.  My brother came up accross a 1911 type 45 ACP caliber pistol and although he did not gave me all the markings in the pistol, he said that there was a mark saying "Remington".  Does that type of pistol exists?  If so.  What kind of value that would bring?

Thanks.

Do a search on Remington Rand. I believe they were war pistols and they are priced pretty high.

Take Care,
Scott

Thank you guys.

My brother has an old (colt police positive, 5" bbl really bitted up that he got in an auction for $50) and the guy with the .45 ACP rem 1911 wanted a direct trade.

I think he would make a good deal don't you think?
