Graybeard, I joined this forum as most people seem to conduct themselves in a professional manner. However as you referred to my post as playing games or measuring any body parts, that theory went right out the window. Most shooting professionals use my stated method as a quick way to measure lenght of pull. Your method would work but your thumb hitting your nose would depend more on your drop at heel, drop at comb, length to heel and cast on or cast off for your shooting style. To have a shotgun properly fitted to the shooter takes a lot of time with a professional who takes measurements of various body parts as well as many measurements of the try out shotgun the professional provides. In the future I would expect the same respect and professionalism you wish to receive and that you and your moderators enforce. I had hoped to be able to learn as well as help others at this site but I will not allow you or anyone to criticize me. In the future you should just post your helpful hint and refrain from trying to make me out the fool.
