High Standard Sentinel grips
« on: April 22, 2005, 06:44:07 PM »
Hi guys.

I recently acquired a HS Sentinel 357 revolver and was wondering if the hogue aftermarket rubber grips for Dan Wesson revolvers will work on these?
My grip is currently wooden, flat/square butt and has a screw that goes into the botttom that holds the grip to the frame.

Thanks for any help

P.S. Also, the front sight is pinned on. Do you think any of the pin sight types of fiber optic sights (Tru-Glo etc) will work on these revolvers?

I can provide pics if any are needed.

Yep, they'll fit just fine.

I have one that I bought a couple of months ago.  It's the DW M-11 fixed-sight 4" model with High Standard on the side.

I called one of the gunsmiths at DW and he had a 6" barrel that would fit for $160.  I'm going to have to cut the front sight down since it was made for the adjustable-sight M-12.

Do you need a barrel wrench?  I have a brand-new spare that I'll sell cheap.

The D/W grips fit my High Standard perfectly ... have both wood w/
the d/W logo and pachmeyer (SP) ... don't know abt sights but would bet that d/w vs h/s would be identical...   Japle:    I could use that wrench if shotty don't need it .... drop me a pm w/ price & shipping .... marty
