There are several powder companies that provide online data...

I use the 180 XTP, Rem 7 1/2 small rifle primer, RP brass, and Win 296 powder.

A call to Hornady and they should furnish you a copy of their test loads for that bullet.

I dont know about the max, but my 357 mags love Hodgden lil gun with that bullet. Very high velocity and low pressure.

You can load just pg 25 alone.

I started loading my own in 1966 and have loaded about every powder on the market at one time or another. I have, over the years, cut my handgun powders down to just 2 powders. I load Win. 296 in all of my hot or hunting loads and Bullseye into all of my plinking loads. The 296 get the highest velosities in about every round and does it with alittle less presure. I have also found that it seem to be pretty accurate in about all of the gun I`ve fired it in. The .357 max. is a good round, took my first deer with it last fall. Doesn`t hit them as hard as the .44 mags. that I`m used to, but I found the 158 gn. XTP to be more than adiquite for deer. A double lung shot on a doe and she abt. 75 yrds. befor she fell.
