Leupold VX3 1.75-6x 32 scope
« on: April 21, 2005, 02:51:31 PM »
Have any of you had any experience with this scope.  I am considering getting one and putting it on a ruger m77 30-06, to use as my general use
hunting rifle.  I dont really care for high magnification scopes, and this scope with its power selection looks like it would work well up close and also at a good distance away, which for me is around 300 yards, which is the farthest I will ever take a shot.  And if I have a choice I will be taking the shots a lot closer than that.  Just curious as to any experiences anybody has had with this scope.

Yeah I have one. They are quite nice scopes. Excellent choice for an all round gun as you mention. They are a wee bit short on eye relief compared to most Leupold's for some strange reason but it's plenty adequate for use on a .30-06.
