Sending to H&R for barrel exchange
« on: April 25, 2005, 07:35:41 PM »
Hi guys,
Was there a discussion recently about sending off to the factory for a barrel and not sending the buttstock, just the receiver and forend?

What are the pros and cons to not sending the buttstock? I thought it had to do with the factory would not test fire the gun without the buttstock, is that correct?

What if I am also ording a buttstock and forend? Would that make any difference to whether they test fire it?

I know I can get answers from the factory, but it is almost midnight  (MT) as I write this and I can't phone the factory until tomorrow, and truth be told, I'm not sure I can sleep tonight not knowing!! :?

Cheers
Kerry

tallyho:

I sent my frame only to them to have a new stock set installed...and 2 barrels installed...wasn't a problem since they had to install a new stock and forearm...you can always call ahead and verify it prior to sending it in...

I have never sent the forearm or the buttstock to the factory to have a barrel installed.....just the receiver...shipping was less too     Never any problems here...
