I have received a few requests for picks of my .17 Tracker with the new "Hogue" grip so thought I'd post a before and after. I've only had it out one afternoon shooting, but loved it.

Thats sharpe Baker. The blued scope looks good with the black grip. I couldn't decide which way to go myself.

Just curious how much the Taurus scope base usually sells for? I have kicked around the idea of getting a Tracker - the 22lr version , came close on a couple of occasions.

Generally speaking they run around $40. The last I knew though they were backordered from the manufacturer for over a year. They had a contract with one manufacturer in South America that was dragging their feet, but they could not go to another one due to a contractual agreement of some sorts. This was told to me by a Taurus rep here in the states. I found mine used from a guy that just prefered iron sites and took the scope off.

kmeyer ,Thanks for the info - wow , that is quite a mess with the backorder of the scope mounts! I know if I bought the 22 I would eventually want to scope it. I like the looks of the Tracker , it would be my first Taurus ever.
