If you want a swivel breech rifle, it appears that you are going to pay the asking price as there aren't that many for sale these days.  I stayed away from them because I had heard that the swivel wears and gets loose affecting accuracy.  Weather or not it reallys does, I don't know.  I had a double (side by side) at one time but found it too heavy to hunt with.  If it were me, I would get it.

uses a lock  where the mainspring is also the sear spring. Gives a hard trigger, weak hammer fall. Long lock time and the hammer lifts to halfcock at 50 grains of 3Fg. Cabela's swivel is better made

Wiley,

The problems that you have listed; are they what you have/are experiencing with your Numrich Swivel Barrel Rifle?

That is correct. I don't recall the details of the Cabela lock, but it worked better. I also found out that I'd rather drag a single barrel around and reload fast, so both of my swivels and some double barrels stay at home!

Tomhargrove,

Why would you want to remove this topic?     I find the subject matter very informative.

I've looked through my Cabela's Catalog, but can't find any mention of the Swivel Barrel rifle; is it still available?     Does anyone have a picture of the rifle?
