$ savings on barrels
« on: April 27, 2005, 08:14:33 AM »
Received a letter from NEF today and until september 30th 2005  all the handi barrels and some others have been reduced $5.00 plus there will be NO labor charge to fit the barrels. Just a $10.00 S&H charge. The 500S&W is $77.00 + S&H   $ 87.00 Total not bad. They also sent me a new updated 2005 barrel accessory program  brochure.

Thanks Tanoose...
Good news is good news, it just shows members here care about each other getting the word.

Is that "2005 barrel accessory program brochure" something that someone could scan and post here?  Or is it too big?

I sent H&R an email about this yesterday and here's the reply I received:

"...you need to send us your name and address requesting the form as this mailing was only sent out to people who had bought rifles last year and sent in thier registrations forms that came with the firearm. The offer is only good for rifle barrels.."

So I have asked for this form. And I did by rifles last year - new Sportsters and sent in at leas one registration, but I haven't (yet) received this form... maybe it is only for those who bought a centerfire last year (which I also did, but they were used)..?

Cheers
Kerry

If that S&W500 barrel is available, I wonder why it isn't listed on their website in the accessory barrel program. :)  :)

I just received a 2005 catalog yesterday and they didn't include a flyer or form for the accessory barrels.  I've bought new recently and even sent in my registration forms.

I think if NEF wanted to sell rifles they would at least put a proper picture of the handi rifle, the one with open sights on their website instead of a picture that has been on their site from day one with no sights.
 Just my take on this, I don't understand why they don't update their site if they are going to have one.

Does anyone have the e-mail address or phone number to request the coupon?

THANKS! :-)

I called and just talked to the first person that answered.  He acknowledged the coupon and said the program was only for people who had purchased their guns within the past year and had returned the registration cards.  I told him I just bought my rifle this Monday and so he said the program really didn't apply to me.  I asked if he could send me a coupon anyway and he seemed a little miffed and said he wasn't supposed to but he would do it anyway.  So, it was worth the call.

It can be really hard to keep a secret in these days of "the information age" can't it?  :P
