Savage firearms is bringing back the FOX brand name.

Hi.

  I just checked the Savage website and I see that Savage will be bringing back the FOX brand name of shotguns. Does anyone have any information on this?  When is it going to happen?

It will be interesting to see. I looked on their homepageand if their description of what they are going to do is correct, and I quote,' FOX, a brand we will develop in the future, will be our flagship quality, with no compromise at any level', should be interesting. I think we will find the price interesting too. I have 2 of the original Savage Fox BSE's, one in 12, one in 20, they are fine fine guns, if you like a side by side.

My uncle gave me a Fox model B (dual triggers) in the early 60's when i was just a pup. it is a 20 gauge and i cannot tell you how many birds that i dropped with that gun! I shot it for years and years. I retired it when i got a citori. I will  have to check out the site. who knows, maybe i will get me another one! thanks!

I hope they're not like the L.C. Smith that Marlin is importing from Italy. The Italian O/U's are nice guns but not quite the double that I was hoping for. I'll look forward to the Fox myself and hopefully, it will have the old lines with a  matted rib, double triggers and a nice walnut checkered stock. My guess is that it would be in the $800 range

I thought Galazan's, Conneticut Shotgun Mfg. owned the rights to the Fox brand  name. They've been making them for several years now. The entry level price is like $11,000.00.  This looks like a copyright infringment fight might be brewing. ???????
