Possibilities for Rechamber/Rebore

Ever since Mac"s post about finding a smith to do work on our handis its got me thinking i want to rebore/rechamber my 270 barrel. But i dont really know what i can change it to. I know all you guys will have alot of suggestions so start talkin. Maybe sumthing in 338 or 35 maybe even a 40. I'm not really sure. I know i dont want any wildcats, i just dont really have the time to mess with one right now or the funds. So start shooting me any suggestions that yall can think of any are appreciated.

338-06...or even a 375-06 if there is enough at the muzzle...


Sorry...the 375-06 is a wildcat...but ohhh what a wildcat it is.. :oh:  :yeah:  :biggun:  you might have to have the muzzle brake installed on that one...ehhh Quick  :wink:

by the way, is that to the shoulder or is it COAL? If it is COAL Could it work?

I really don't think it could work...the 348 is 1.650" to the shoulder...the 270 is 1.948" to the shoulder...
