Can anyone tell me what one of these go for in price New? Where can I buy one? i found a Euroarms, but not the Armi-Sport brand.also, how does the Armi-Sport quality compare with Euroarms-Pedersali and Miraku products. Thank you-Jack.

Slayer, you might check Dixie Gun Works web site, they seem to have a wide selection and have customer reviews.
Do you know anything about T.V.M. ? I'm waiting for one of their catalogs and am considering having a rifle built? D.E.C

That is my big dilema acftually. I want a TVM plain jane Kentucky rifle, but also want a Civil War type Musket, man I wish I was rich!! I am leaning towards the 3 band Enfield and 1861 or 1863 Springfield rifle and the TVM. DGW doesn`t have an Armi-Sport Enfield or ani Armi-Sport actually that I could find. The Miraku is on there as is the Parker and Hale and Pedersoli, the latter 2 the more expensive ones. The Miraku is fairly priced. The only hangup i am having between the Springfields is I like the 1863 Hammer better, but the 1861 has those cool Barrel springs and the 1863 doesn`t. Any opinion on the Springs, are they a pain in the A...........!! Jack.

I have an Armisport 1842 musket and it is a very well made piece. Excellent fits and a nice oil finish on the wood. It has been very reliable and is definitely a keeper.

I have a three band Enfield (English Made), and it is a nice gun, a bit lighter than the Springfield rifle muskets and accurate. I see no reason to suppose that Armisport would not build as much quality into their Enfield as they do their 1842 musket.

slayer, be aware, the Enfield has a much straighter stock than the Springfield. Some guys find it hard to get their cheek down on it and get a good sight picture. Best to look and try before you buy. And the Euroarms guns are considered to be a little better in finish than the Armisport guns.

I had an Euroarms 1853 and I found it reliable, accurate, and well made. The only problem that I had was being able to see the front sight in the woods.
