« on: January 25, 2003, 12:05:54 PM »
Would you fine people please put in a prayer
for Jesse Edwin she was born in the indian village of Tanana
on the yukon river in Alaska at the begining of the 1900s .She is having a rough time of it with cancer and it may well be the last year that she will be with us .
she has been such a big part of all of us in her family with
the guidance, knowledge and love she has given to us all.
She will be a great loss to us and the  many others
she has touched in her life.

thank you much

The elders in the villages of Alaska have much to offer the people of their communities and to all of us.  In wisdom, common sense, and in helping the youth to discover their history and selves.  Any loss of these great people is a loss to all, as much of their knowledge of native ways and even language is not documented except  in stories.

My heart goes out to you my brother Alaskan.

Even if it is the cycle of life, they take so much with them when they leave.  My very best wishes. Prayer on the wing

I'm sure God will bring Jesse up when her time has come.  But certainly she will leave behind a village of people that have been touched by her and all will have a little bit of Jesse in them.   My prayers go out to Jesse and her loved ones.
