School Bus Emptied, Searched For WeaponMIAMI -- Miami-Dade school police emptied students off a bus Tuesday afternoon after reports of a possible weapon on board the school bus.
Students were removed from the bus. Officers and nearly a dozen cruisers surrounded the bus at 179th Street and Northwest Ninth Avenue.
The driver told police that she had looked in the rearview mirror and imagined that she saw a gun being passed around.
Police thoroughly searched the bus and the students, and no weapon was found.
