HANGER BAR FORENDS
« on: June 01, 2005, 02:07:58 AM »
:D I'm going to order a hanger bar from the folks  who use to be VV & I need to know how you guys go about milling out the forends for the bar. I want to do it to both a couple of walnut forends & a synthetic. They make a bar that allows you to use the existing screw holes & you do not have to have the barrel dove tail cut.
I can really use the help if anyone has any experience at this. They will do it for me but  $ 60.00 is a little too steep for me at this time. Thank you all in advance for your time & consideration. SOUP

I sent chuck a few pics and they are posted at http://Banned Site/TC/index.htm

under tech stuff.  I had VV do two of mine and one from Bullberry on one of Fred's barrels.  The composite forearm was filled with wood and glass bedding and then reamed out.
