First Warm Water Trip of the Year
« on: April 19, 2010, 01:43:57 AM »
Been working on the trout(but not nearly enough)for a couple of months now, but decided it was time to check on the 'gills.  Da'Boss and I slipped over to a small lake in Amherst County and launched the Pelican for the first time this year.  Fish weren't on the banks yet and I forgot my thermometer so don't know what the water temp was but they have to be close to busting out...the Dogwoods were starting to bloom.  Managed to get a few small 'gills and a couple of decent Punkinseed's on a no.6 black and green Clouser Minnow twitched slowly across the bottom.  The wind just wouldn't lay, but it was still an enjoyable afternoon. ;D

Sounds like a good day!
