Remington 11-48 High Grades?
« on: May 03, 2005, 07:13:33 PM »
Anybody here know much about the features, values, and info on these guns?

I bought an 11-48 28 gauge a while back...incredible wood, with full coverage engraving on both receiver sides, appears to have been used very little. I understand that some of these guns were made in "D", "F" and possibly other high grades...where can i find a source for info on these..anybody know? Thanks!

The Premeir grades are the highest and were the "F" grade in the early shotguns. There are several Remington firearms that were built in the Premeir grade but to answer your question, the smaller gauges are more collectable. The 11-48 isn't as valuable as the Model 11 and could unfortunately bring half of what the Model 11 would bring. Contact Remington via their web site for more details about your gun.
