Frustration is...
« on: April 30, 2005, 04:30:04 PM »
(1) Loading up and having ALL SIX fail to fire upon arriving at favorite shooting range due to excessive grease in chambers..that i had forgotten to swab out after last good clean and lube session (packed with grease cause im moving very soon and didnt expect to be out shooting for awhile)

(2) After recovering from mistake (1)..not being able to hit anything all day no matter how hard i tried

(3) Switching to 22 rifle only to find it wont fire because missing screw from trigger assembly wont let it engage inrternal mechanism properly (had to hold front of said assembly up and slightly forward to fire it..but then couldnt hit anything that way

(4) Switching back to 1860 and still not hitting anything

(5) Angrily discharging last shot of the day out of 1860 without really looking at target and watching aluminum can full of water turn into spray of mist and metal from dead center hit

(6) realizing im only human and not every day is going to be a great one!!!
Good friends will come, and good friends will go...but jerks will just accumulate.

How about went to the range with a double rifle only to discover I'd left the forearm at home?

Since it was already cocked, I got two shots.  No more, can't wind it up without the forearm.
