Any problems with Burris bases??

Has anyone had any problems with Burris bases?
I purchased a Burris one piece short action base and signature rings for a Howa 22-250 varmint (barrel contour #6). The gunshop said the Burris base would not line-up, and put on a Redfield Long Action base (product # 47266) instead.
The 22-250 is a short action.
What do you think?

I have had two Burris two piece bases in the last year that were bad both of them for round receiver guns the bases were machined off center
