Planning a fall trip to Colorado, what is a good load for the .270 to take for elk. We have been shooting factory Remington 130 gr for whitetail here in VA.

Vat : I would increase my bullet weight to 150 and look into a premium bullet by that I mean what factory ammo uses premium bullets, enjoy your hunt.

I also suggest Federal Premium Vital Shok 150-gr. Partitions for your 270 Winchester, with serious consideration given to their High Energy load.
